I wanted to let you know that this site will no longer be updated and will probably be closing soon. We did move a lot of the regular parties to the San Francisco Sims for a few months, but unfortunately it was decided that we bring it all to an end as of the first of this year.

However, I will continue to have my parties at the Slot in Folsom on Wednesdays from 6-8pm SLT http://sn.im/theslot

I want to give a special thanks to my friend JC who started this site back in 2008. It's certainly been an amazing ride.

It has been my pleasure to be the blog editor for the past few years. You can still catch me blogging about my own adventures in Second life at In-world and Out

PRIDE & DIVERSITY Exhibition planned by Brady Rowell

After taking a small hiatus, Second Life photographer Brady Rowell has returned to take on a new photography project centered on the Second Life Gay Community. Aptly titled "Pride and Diversity", the Photo Exhibition is planned to open for public viewing in August 2010 and will attempt to capture the uniqueness of individual avatars from the gay community while illustrating the diversity of the community itself. “I want to show how different members of the gay community in SL are and why these differences, when put together, make the gay community in SL great”, commented Brady when proposing this project to JakeC Hotshot and Baz Ceawlin, the owners of the main gallery at Jake’s Club Resort.

Brady has been the featured artist showcased in the gallery since it's opening in March 2009. “We are thrilled to have him back,” Jake comments, “and we’re looking forward to this exhibition. Brady is a talented artist who we are proud to lend our continued support to.” Jake also pointed out, “Brady’s timing is perfect! By the time his project is completed, the Jake’s sim and galley will be located in the Gay Archipelago. We will be able to share his work with the whole community.” Brady has been holding an ongoing series of open casting calls to find just the right individuals for his project. When asked why he is holding open casting calls for models, Brady says“... one goal is to feature people in this project who I have never photographed before. It should be all new faces.” In the end, only 15 people will be selected.

Halloween Bash Recap

Last night was Jake's Spooktacular Halloween Bash. We had another great looking set thanks to Baz Ceawlin. It was complete with tombstones, ghosts, fog, candles and spooky buildings. DJ Syri even created a custom tip jar with a skeleton on a pole. The dancefloor was packed with friends old and new in some great costumes. Thanks to everyone who came out and partied with us.

Just a short reminder that there will be no theme party on Saturday. Go out and Trick or Treat and have a great time. We will return next week with Syri's Tuesday Timewarp.

Can Austin Powers stop this madman? or will he caught up with Evil's henchman, with names like Alotta Fagina and Random Task? Only time will tell!

Justin Elias is a 28 year old singer, pianist, song writer and music arranger.
He does live music gigs and studio sessions throughout the Cincinnati area. Justin arranges 99% of his own tracks that he sings with here in SecondLife. He does the music, adds the harmonies, and has them ready for SecondLife performance. Overall Justin likes to bring a bit of everything into a show hoping everyone has a smile on their face.

As those of you who read this blog know, this is where I write about events going on at Jake's. All the great theme parties. And when things work, pictures.

Well, It seems there's gonna be a party at least nominally "for me" Friday (see poster) at Jake's and also at Tiger Isle.. But I'm going to think of it as a party for everyone.

With DJ Rickie Zabaleta (DJ ReZ) will be providing the music. And I have been told Rickie is donating HIS donations to my Bday/Rezzday Party fund. (So, tip the Dj well :))

And even though I'm not really into being the center of attention.. I do appreciate all the great people that are trying to make Second Life a better place. I will be there to have fun, and as always, I want YOU TO HAVE FUN TOO! There are people that will stop at nothing to tear people apart, Let's show Second Life how to bring people together! JC

[3:15] Baz Ceawlin: hey there JC, wnated to send you a correction regarding Valentine's at Jake's. The event is not at the Lighthouse restaurant, it is at Jakes and will be catredd by the Lghthouse restaurant. the event is from 8 -10 during which time the club will be locked down with access only to ticket holders. The club will be reopned to the public at 10 when Syri takes over the stream. The tickets are L$500 per person, but seating is at tables for 2... so L$1000 per couple. Thanks
